Drontal® Cat Large is an effective anthelmintic for cats that helps control both round and tapeworms. This drug is particularly effective against Dipylidium caninum, a tapeworm spread by fleas.

It is ideal for treating mixed infections of roundworms and tapeworms in cats, such as:

• Roundworms: Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina

• Tapeworms: Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus multilocularis

• Hookworms: Ancylostoma tubaeformae

To prevent flea tapeworm infection, it is also important to control fleas at the same time.

Active ingredients:

Pyrantelembonate and Praziquantel

Ingredients:

Pyrantelembonate 230.0 mg, Praziquantel 20.0 mg, Corn starch, Microcrystalline cellulose, Polyvidone, Magnesium stearate, Colloidal anhydric silicon dioxide, Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Polyethylene glycol 4000, Titanium dioxide. This amounts to 5 mg praziquantel and 57.5 mg pyrantel pamoate per kg body weight.

Dosage:

Use Drontal Large Cat for large cats: 1 tablet per 6 kg body weight. This is equivalent to 5 mg praziquantel and 57.5 mg pyrantel pamoate per kg body weight.

Treatment duration:

Single administration per treatment. In roundworm infections, especially in young animals, complete elimination cannot be guaranteed, leaving a risk to humans. Therefore, repeated treatments at 14-day intervals are recommended until 2-3 weeks after weaning.
